From our campsite on the Ile d’Oléron, you’ll have the ocean at your fingertips from evening to morning, with no time limits.
Thanks to direct access, you’ll only have to walk 50 meters to enjoy all the pleasures of the beach. At the end of the path, with no roads to cross, you’ll arrive on the superb beach of La Perroche, protected from wind and swell by its bay.
Now you can spend your days lounging on the fine sand while your children swim in complete safety!
The best beaches around the campsite
Would you like to explore the surrounding beaches a little further afield? To the north, Matha beach reveals impressive rocks at low tide: the perfect place to try your hand at net fishing with the whole family.
Further south, you can easily reach the Rémigeasse beach, where you can swim in complete safety in a supervised bathing area. Whether you prefer lounging, swimming, fishing or strolling along the water’s edge, you’re bound to find a beach to suit you at our seaside campsite.
Water sports activities nearby
Just a stone’s throw from the campsite, the Wind Oléron Club water sports centre on Plage de la Perroche awaits the sportsman in you. Whether you’re a beginner or an expert, you can try your hand at a wide range of water sports.
Take to the open sea aboard a catamaran or head straight for the horizon on a windsurfer, admire the landscape from a kayak or stand-up paddle, or try out new sensations on the sand on a sand yacht. There’s something for everyone at Wind Oléron Club!
Discover fishing on foot, a must in Charente-Maritime
It’s hard to imagine a holiday on the Ile d’Oléron without taking part in one of our region’s most emblematic activities, fishing on foot.
Take your landing net, a basket, bag or bucket, a knife, perhaps a small gardening rake and a measuring stick for shellfish, and watch for low tide. The sea uncovers many small natural ponds between the rocks where you can find small shrimps, as well as various edible shellfish, if you keep your eyes open.
