Ile d’Oléron:
an ocean of activities at your fingertips
Family and children’s activities
Less than 20 minutes from our campsite, on the Ile d’Oléron, the Ti’Bato miniature port offers rental of small electric boats (for children aged 9 and over) on the Prés Valet pond, as well as a pedal go-kart course for all ages. Refreshment bar, shaded picnic area, playground… all you need to spend a pleasant moment in a green and relaxing setting.
The Parc Aventure de la Gataudière aventure, just a few kilometers from the viaduct on the mainland, is well worth a visit for thrill-seekers, with its accrobranche, bubble soccer, quads, catapult, go-karting and paintball activities… For the young and young at heart, head to Château d’Oléron for Titiparc Parc Aventure (certified “Arbres et loisirs”). The Fun Park in Saint-Trojan also offers a tree course alongside its 18-hole artificial turf mini-golf course and inflatable structures for 2-14 year-olds.
On the Ile d’Oléron, two educational sites located in Dolus-d’Oléron help us discover the local fauna. The Parc Myocastor is entirely dedicated to the coypu (exhibition, feeding…), a mammal omnipresent in the marshes. The Pôle Nature du Marais aux oiseaux, meanwhile, is a rescue center as well as a bird and animal park, with a mini-farm for children and an observatory.
Part of the island (classified as a “natural site in France” under Natura 2000 protection) forms the Moëze-Oléron nature reserve, managed by La Ligue Protectrice des Oiseaux. This is one of France’s most important sites for waterfowl (anatidae & limicolae).

The Golf d’Oléron is a natural part of the landscape, facing the Atlantic islands and Fort Boyard. The course, which faces the ocean for around 2 km, is an approved nine-hole course covering 30 hectares. In addition to the course, there are two putting greens, a 6-hole school course and a 25-place driving range.
Individual and group lessons, supervised by a state-certified teacher, as well as training courses, are offered all year round.
