Campsite safety training
On Monday, March 18, 2024, the campsite’s management team took part in a full-scale evacuation exercise at the Fouras Le Cadoret municipal campsite organized by the Charente-Maritime outdoor hotel federation in association with the Charente-Maritime prefecture.
This awareness-raising day on the risks involved in welcoming the public was organized in response to the new obligations laid down by prefectoral decree.
The objective for all campsites is to improve their skills to guarantee :
- Holidaymaker safety
- protecting campsites from the ever-increasing number of natural hazards
Aziz, Cyril and Elodie spent the morning practicing a real-life evacuation exercise to learn how to coordinate a safe evacuation of campsite guests.
In the afternoon, the team took part in life-saving training workshops (cardiac massage, wound compression, choking, etc.) and defibrillator use.
This introduction to 1st aid was coupled with fire safety workshops: optimal use of RIA (Robinet d’incendie armé), fire extinguishing practice with different types of extinguishers.
We plan to carry out an evacuation exercise at Camping des Flots-Atlantique Village 1 & 2 before the summer to fine-tune our organization and avoid any risks to our holidaymakers in the event of fire, storm or flood.
